Rules When Visiting Von Ward Kennels

Over the years we have had to implement rules at our kennels to insure the safety of our puppies, us and our clients or potential clients.

Please read these rules before visiting. Failure to read and comply will result in you not getting one of our puppies.

This is not our purchase contract; these are rules for anyone visiting our kennels.

1.) No petting of dogs through fences. This includes puppies. You can pet dogs I allow out to socialize with you and any puppies 7 weeks or older that I allow you to visit with.

2.) Please do not squat down at any of my adult dogs levels and put your face in theirs.

3.) No jumping at my dogs trying to engage them in play. Please remain calm.

4.) If you bring your children with you, your children must remain calm. No running, screaming, hitting my dogs or pulling on them. If you do not think you can control your children, I suggest you do not bring them.

5.) If you are allowed to visit with puppies 7 weeks or older, you agree to not pick any of them up by the scruff of their necks. No rough play of any kind will be tolerated. Acceptable interaction would be: setting calmly and calling the puppies to your lap, petting them and gently playing with them.

6.) You agree to not visit any other breeders, kennels or zoos before you come to my place on the same day. Parasites and viruses are highly contagious.

7.) Appointments are no longer than 1 hour long.

8.) You agree to contact me if you are going to be 20 minutes or more late for any appointment. If you cannot make it to an appointment, you agree to contact me at least 2 hours before your appointment.

9.) No outside dogs are allowed on our property.

10.) I do not have to sell you a puppy. I put my heart into these babies and I want them to go to the best homes possible. Respecting my rules shows me your desire to own one of my puppies.
